The first publication logistics centre was set up in TAR on May 26, to provide 50,000 kinds of publications, periodicals, audio-visual products and electronic publications for people in pastoral areas of TAR.
Wangdu Tsering, the secretary of TAR Bureau of Press and Publication said: " This logistics center with an area over 7,000 square meters, a total investment of 18 million RMB, can provide books for 50 bookstore chains and distribution networks in TAR. All the publications in this center are picked among 500 book publishing houses, 300 audio-visual publishing houses, 9,000 journal presses, then sent out to 73 Xinhua bookstores and 272 other bookstores in 7 counties in TAR. In this way, we can make sure the quality of the publications and improve the reading conditions for Tibetans. "
