Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer you to the hotel. Relax during the remainder of the afternoon and evening to recover from the jet lag.
Day 02: Beijing
Before the tour starts, you will meet the other members of your group this morning during the pre-tour briefing in the hotel. Your first stop is the impressive Tian’anmen Square. From there you will enter the "Imperial Palace" known as the Forbidden City to explore its many fascinating halls and pavilions. To round off a memorable start to your tour, we will arrange a delicious Beijing Duck Dinner at the fine restrauant followed by Beijing opera.
Day 03: Beijing
This morning you will be taken to Badaling where you will experience at first hand the wonder of the Great Wall. You will have lunch nearby the Great Wall. Later the journey will take you to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the peaceful shadow of Longevity Mountain. You will be transfer back to Hotel..
Day 04: Beijing - Xian
You will take an afternoon flight to Xian after explore at HuTong where you’ ll get a taste of real life in one of Beijing’shutong("small alley"Or neighborhood"). Built centuries ago to house Beijing residents who were not royal courtiers, the hutong is a labyrinth of narrow lanes and courtyards lined with flat-roofed. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to check in at the hotel.
Day 05: Xian
The visit to the majestic Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum will start your today’s tour. In the afternoon, you will visit the City Wall and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. A splendid evening is in store when you will be entertained at the Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show when partaking of the famous Dumpling Banquet Dinner.
Day 06: Xian
Today you will visit the Provincial History Museum, which houses a large collection of historic and cultural artifacts unearthed in Shaanxi Province. After lunch, you will be taken to visit a local family, which helps you know well about the local people’s life. Then go to see the Great Mosque and have some free time to explore for some souvenirs or antiques in the bazaar near the Mosque.
Day 07: Xian - Guilin
This morning you will visit the Hanyangling Museum, the mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi. Then you will board a flight to Guilin, and check in at the local best hotel.
Day 08: Guilin - Yangshuo
Enduring memories are created as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Then you will be transferred to your hotel. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged, which we feel sure will be one of the most memorable parts of your tour. You may also visit a local villager’s home. If you feel tired, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles. Dinner is leaved on your own. There are many western-style restaurants and cafes in the famous West Street for your choices. (Tips: Since lunch on the Li River cruise may not meet your expectation, TCG suggests that you have a big breakfast at the hotel today.)
Day 09: Yangshuo - Guilin
Today, you will have the morning free to be totally relaxed. You can hire a bicycle enjoying the breathtaking scenery around the town or wander along the West Street or having a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at about 13:00 and drive you back to Guilin to visit the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill. You will enjoy the Ethnic Minority Songs and Dances at Lijiang Theatre after dinner served.
Day 10: Guilin - Shanghai
This morning you will be transferred to board a flight to Shanghai. Our Shanghai guide will transfer you to the hotel. After finishing checking-in, our guide will take you to visit the Xin Tian Di, which is a newly developed recreation area in Shanghai with old styled buildings. During your exploration there, you may find a cafe or western-styled restaurant to have your own dinner.
Day 11: Shanghai
You will visit the Shanghai Museum and the beautiful Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a relaxing cruise tour on Huangpu River, you will experience the prosperity of modern Shanghai. Then you are invited to a farewell dinner valued at Wang Bao He in Central Hotel, which enjoys 260 years history and serves the best Shanghai cuisine. Following the dinner is a fascinating Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. Upon returning to the hotel our tour guide will see you into the lobby to say bon voyage.
